OK Kids Korral Dinner - April 29th
Chuck Wagon Dinner
The NABIP OKC chapter has the honor of serving dinner to the families staying at OK Kids Korral on April 29th.
We will plan, cook (or cater), and serve the kids and their families.
We need a few more volunteers for April 29th.

Scholarships & Nominations Requests

The OKC and Tulsa Associations are pleased to offer a $1,000 scholarship to an upcoming college freshman. - Due by April 15th
- Must be a dependent of an OK resident in good standing with NABIP
- Student must be registered and attend as a full-time undergraduate student at an accredited college / university
- Email completed application to [email protected]

- Evaluated by their activities and service to NABIP's local, state, regional and/or national efforts
- Nominated by an OKC or Tulsa NABIP member
- Nomination can be for an OKC or Tulsa member
- Person cannot win more than once - see nomination form for past winners

Proposed State and Oklahoma City Board Members, 7/1/2024-6/30/2025
Attached are the proposed Oklahoma City Chapter and Oklahoma State board members for the upcoming term, July 1, 2024 through June 30, 2025.
We are accepting any additional nominations, and also welcome anyone who would like to serve on a committee.
Please send us nominations and committee interests no later than May 31, 2024. Final approval will occur at the board initiating meeting on June 13, 2024.
If you have not yet submitted a nomination for the 2024 Person of the Year, please take a moment to do so today.

Board of Pharmacy - Notice of Rule Withdrawal
Dear Oklahoma Chapter Members –
One of the primary ways we engage in advocacy for the consumer is by supporting legislation that ensures the future and stability of the insurance industry. We enlisted your help in requesting that the Oklahoma Legislature OPPOSE a rule that would impact mail order prescriptions. The proposed rule would drive up the cost of prescriptions for hardworking Oklahomans and their families across the State of Oklahoma.
We want to THANK YOU for your assistance in reaching out to your Oklahoma Legislators with our recent Operation Shouts. Our Legislative Committee could not do this alone, and we appreciate the efforts made by you to help our Grassroots campaign.
Due to your efforts, we wanted to let you know that we received a Notice of Withdrawal of the Board of Pharmacy’s Proposed Mail Order Rule! Everyone has done an amazing job helping to defeat this rule. Thank you to all those that made phone calls and sent emails to their Legislators! This is just one of the reasons our association is so important.
If you want to get more involved, please contact one of our Legislative Committee Members. We would love to have you join the committee.

Proposed State Board Members, 7/1/2023-6/30/24
To All Members:
June 15th is the annual meeting of OKAHU (NABIP OK) where we will install State board members. It will be held this year in Tulsa. Details and a meeting registration link will be distributed in a separate email. This year, we will be voting on two important topics – the 2023-24 board and revised bylaws that reflect the name change to NABIP OK.

Supply Drive for OK Kids Korral
The OK Kids Korral needs our help!
Attached please find a list of items needed. We will be collecting items all month. Here's how to get them to us:
- Bring them to the tour or the meet-and-greet next Thursday, September 16th, 2021.
- Tour at 3:00, meet-and-greet immediate following at The Parlor
- Bring them to our October 14th meeting at The Greens
- Contact us for a drop-off or to schedule a pick-up (reply to this email, or contact Theresa Clagg, [email protected])
All items are greatly appreciated! Donating these single-use items helps the foundation keep their supply budget to a minimum, allwoing them to allocate their funds towards other expenses.

Want to join an OKAHU committee, but don't know where to start? The Membership Committee wants you!
- Need a few volunteers for no more than 1 hour a month
- Duties include:
- Call prospective new members to invite them to one of the upcoming monthly meetings
- Call an existing member to remind them to attend the upcoming meeting
- Each month you will receive a list of 3 or 4 prospective new / existing members to be called
- A call script will be provided
